Originally raised in Charleston, South Carolina, I attended the University of South Carolina for my undergraduate education. I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelors of Arts in Experimental Psychology. Shortly after, I moved to Richmond, Virginia for graduate school. In 2015 I graduated with my Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling/Mental Health Counseling from the Medical College of Virginia. In 2020, I packed up my truck, dog and solo moved across the country to Oregon. Over the last 10 years my clinical work has ranged from working in clinical research labs studying the impact of CBT, rendering in-home community based services, supervising a team of clinical community based counselors, and more recently providing full fidelity DBT therapy at the Portland DBT Institute.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon and have been licensed since 2018.
I currently live in SE Portland with my partner and our pup, Doc. I identify as queer and am in a queer monogamous partnership. As an introvert at my core, my interests outside of my therapist identity include, gardening, nature, music, restorative wellness practices, biking, camping, skiing, adventuring, quality connection and relishing in solo idle time.
